Associate Dean, Rabindra Nath Tagore Agriculture College, Deoghar
Message from Associate dean
Rabindra Nath Tagore Agriculture College started functioning on November, 19th 2018. The foundation of this college was laid on 28.05.2012 by Shri Arjun Munda, the then Chief Minister, Jharkhand. Through their continuous effort and incessant hard work of Dr. Parvinder Kaushal, Hon’ble Vice chancellor BAU and Dr. Nishikant Dubey, Member of Parliament Godda constituency, the dream of the establishment of this institution has turned into a beautiful and vibrant reality.
Earlier there was only one agriculture college at Ranchi with limited intake capacity of 60 students/year. Hence, the necessity of opening new agriculture colleges was felt. The present Agriculture scenario is changing fast and it is inaccessible to farmers living in far flung areas. Therefore it was necessary to open an agriculture college in Santhal Pargna to cater to the needs of farmers and help reach agriculture science to new heights. I have been bestowed the responsibility of Associate Dean at Agriculture College, Deoghar and I am thankful to the Honb’le Vice Chancellor, Dr P. Kaushal for showing trust. I have a vision of all round development of students studying in this college besides disseminating modern agriculture science in and around the college as well as remote areas with the kind support of Birsa Agricultural University, District Administration as well as farmers, local people and all others who are directly or indirectly associated with this college.
